Norwegian world champion swimmer found dead in bathroom

One of the London Olympic Games medal favourites, Norwegian swimmer Alexander Dale Oen, has died of a suspected cardiac arrest while training with the Norwegian national team in Arizona USA.

The 26 year old, who was the defending world champion in the 100 breaststroke, was found dead in his bathroom last night Monday April 30th. The country's swimming federation said he was found sprawled on the bathtub. Teammates became worried when repeated knocks on the door went unanswered. A team doctor performed CPR before an ambulance arrived, but the young swimmer was never resuscitated and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

At 26, Dale Oen was already the greatest swimmer in Norwegian history. He won the nation's first swimming medal in Beijing. So sad. May his soul rest in peace!

Joke of the day: Plateau discovers fake commisisoner on its payroll

The Plateau state Commissioner for Information, Mr Abraham Yiljap, said today in an interview with newsmen that a fake commissioner had been earning the salary and allowances attached to the office.

His exact words:  

There is a fake commissioner on the payroll of Plateau state government. I mean somebody appointed himself as commissioner and has been receiving salaries and other perks of office as one. We have a lot of bad things. Some people are on grade level 8 but receive salaries meant for level 16 officers. Others have primary school certificates and are retiring on grade level 14.

In another instance, some of the workers connived and stole N66 million scholarship funds.

There are many other people, who are taking money that they should not be taking. Some are no longer in the service but they are maintained in service. People are maintaining fictitious names and drawing salaries.”

Doctors recommend sucking of breast to reduce breast cancer

I saw this news on BBC o, so if it's not accurate, then blame them...:-). So according to BBC, doctors have recommended that women can reduce their risk of getting breast cancer by having their breasts thoroughly and vigorously sucked. Vigorously? Sounds badass! I like! Hehehehehe.

The doctors said that regular sucking of the breast lowers the risk level that tends to build lumps, leading to breast cancer.

So dear men, do your part, save a life, suck a breast today. And don't worry, you are at no risk of throat cancer...lol

Finally, Jessica Simpson gives birth to baby girl

The 31year old singer and fashion mogul, who has been pregnant like forever, finally gave birth to a baby girl today.

Jessica announced the happy news on her official website this afternoon.

Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This is been the greatest experience of our lives.'
