Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) is poised to take Nigerian Breweries Plc, the organisers of the annual musical show - Star Mega Jamz - to court, if it does not accede to it's demand of payment of N26.2million before the 11th of Dec, day of the show.
In a letter signed by Admiral Dele Abiodun, the PMAN president and sent to the company, N8million out of the amount is for performance fees of the two Americans artists, Busta Ryhmes and Ludacris, that are billed to perform at the show.
N16m is for four years arrears that could not be collected when PMAN was in crisis. The remaining N2.2m is for the local performance levies of the 12 Nigerian artists that are billed for the show.
But NB Plc laywers told PMAN that it does not have any basis, either in fact or law, to make such demand.
PMAN has fired back through it's lawyers...let the good times begin...:)
