The Charleston County Coroner confirms that a female body discovered Wednesday afternoon on Sullivan's Island is that of missing MUSC resident Olutosin Oyelowo.
Police had reported that Oyelowo, 25, was seen jumping from the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge on Dec. 9. Her wallet and identification were found along the bridge and her car was parked within walking distance.
The coroner was able to positively identify the remains Friday with the help of dental records, said Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton. She died as a result of the fall from the bridge, she said.
Oyelowo's family was informed of the identification, Rhoton said.

Though Charleston police said onlookers identified Oyelowo as the jumper, police could not confirm her identity until a body was recovered.

Users identifying themselves as the young pharmacist's family, asked for prayers on Patch as police, the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies searched the Cooper River for her remains over the last two weeks.

"We continue to covet your prayers and support for the family at this time," the post read on Patch.
The body was found Wednesday afternoon on a Sullivan's island sand bar, roughly six miles by water from the Ravenel Bridge, Rhoton said.
