Chris Brown

Christopher Maurice Brown is known as Chris Brown. He was born on May 22 in 1989 In a small town of Tappahannock, Virginia.  He is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and rapper and also an actor. He taught himself sing and dance in his boyhood at own. He was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows. 

Chris Brown was discovered by a local production team called Hitmission Records at the age of 13. They went to his father’s gas station when they are searching for new talent. The team provides voice coaching for Chris Brown. Then Chris Brown worked with many young –acts like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.  

Chris Brown singed with Jive Records in 2004 and he released his self-titled debut album the following year. The album peaked at number two on the US billboard 200 chart. He also featured the single “Run It” which is topped the Billboard Hot 100. This single made Brown the first male artist as a lead to have his debut single top the chart since Puff Daddy in 1997. Recording Industry Association of America certified him double platinum.

“Exclusive” is his second studio album which is released in January 2007. It spawned three successful singles, “Kiss Kiss” is his second Hot 100 number one which featuring T-Pain. The other two is “with You” and “forever”. Exclusive was also certified double Platinum by RIAA. 

Chris Brown’s third studio album is “Graffiti”. The album released in 2009. The album’s lead single “I Can Transform Ya” which was released on September 29, 2009. This song peaked at number 20 on US billboard Hot 100 chart and number 11 an the US Hot R&B/Hip- Hop Songs chart. Graffiti debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 Chart. The album sold 102,000 copies in the first week. It has sold 341,000 copies in the US.

Chris brown released his fourth studio album named F.A.M.E in 2011. F.A.M.E his fourth studio album which is was his first number one album on Billboard 200. It spawned the hit singles “Yeah 3x”, “Look at Me Now”, featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes and “Beautiful People” featuring Benny Benassi. The album earned Brown his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album at the 54^th Grammy Awards.

Apart from recording music Chris Brown has also pursued an acting career. Chris Brown made his on screen feature film debut in Stomp the Yard in 2007 and appeared as a guest on the television series The O.C. Chris Brown has also appeared in “This Christmas” (2007), Takers(2010), and Think Like a man(2012). Chris Brown has won numerous awards including two NAACP Image Awards, three American Music Awards and nine BET Awards.
