Flo Rida is an American rapper and song writer. His name is not Flo Rida. Flo Rida is his stage name. His real name is Tramar Dillard.

Tramar Dillard was born on September 17, 1979. His birth place is the 187^th street projects of Carol City. His mother raised him. He has 7 sisters. Some of whom sang in a local gospel group. Flo Rida’s brighter in law was a hypeman. While Flo Rida was in ninth grade, he formed his own amateur group with some of his friends. They called their group as “Ground Hoggz”. They were making music like the Goodie Mob. The theme of their music was for the love of the art and feed their soles. After completing graduation from high school in 1998, he studied international business management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He studied here for two years. After that he attended Barry University for two months. For study he left his music career behind for some years. After receiveing a phone call from representative of the independent label Poe Boy Entertainment he returned to Florida to continue his music career. At first he signed with Poe Boy in 2006. After that he began affiliating with other artists. He started with Rick Ross, Trina, T-Pain, and Trick Daddy. His first significant release was titled as “Birthday”, which was featuring with Rick Ross. Flo Rida made his debut guest appearance with the song "Bitch I'm from Dade County" on DJ Khaled's album We the Best, which featured Trick Daddy, Trina, Rick Ross, Brisco, C-Ride, and Dre. Flo Rida’s first single was featured with T-Pain. The single was named as “Low”. This song was his first official single from his debut album Mail On Sunday. This song was soundtrack to the movie Step Up 2: The Streets. “Low” reached no.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Some of his next songs such as "Elevator", featuring Timbaland, "In the Ayer" featuring will.i.am, and "Roll" featuring Sean Kingston followed and all charted on the Hot 100 and other charts on Billboard. His album which was titled as “R.O.O.T.S.” was released on March 31, 2009. The first single of the album was featured with Ke$ha. The name of the single was “Right Round”. The song was released for airplay in January 2009. This song broke a record of weekly digital song sells in the US in late February.

 After this success of the first single he became popular to all. This single beats his previous record of “Low”. Flo Rida’s third studio album was released on November 24, 2010. A song of the album gets huge popularity. The name of the song is “Club Can’t Handle Me”. This song was also featured in the Step Up 3D. He released his next album “Only One Rida (Part 2)” on August 29, 2011. His latest album Wild One released on 2012. This album is one of the best albums in 2012. Flo Rida is an amazing rapper.
