Linkin Park


Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. In 1996 this band was formed. Linkin Parkrose to international fame for their debut album, named “Hybrid Theory”, which was certified Diamond by the RIAA and multi - platinum in several countries in 2005. Linkin Park is a famous band all over the world. Billboard ranked Linkin Park # 19 on the best Artist of the Decade chart. This band won two Germany Awards and has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide.
The foundation of Linkin Park started with three high school friends. They are Mike Shinoda, Rob bourdon, and Brad Delson. When they are graduated from high school the three friends started to take their musical interests more seriously. Though there were not enough resources Linkin Park started to record and produce songs within Shinoda’s make shift bedroom studio in 1996. But unfortunately they could not success and could not sign a record deal.
The band changed its name many time. The first name of this band was Xero, the 2nd name is Hybrid Theory, and the final name is Linkin Park. However, despite these changes, the band still struggled to sign a record deal.
After facing numerous rejections from several major record labels, Linkin Park turned to Jeff Blue for additional help. After failing to catch Warner Bros. Records on three previous reviews, Jeff Blue, now the vice president of Warner Bros. Records helped the band sign a deal with the company in 1999. The band released its breakthrough album, Hybrid Theory, the following year.
On October 24, 2000 Linkin Park released its new album “Hybrid Theory”. Hybrid Theory was edited by Don Gilmore. This album was a massive commercial success. Hybrid Theory sold more than 4.8 million copies during its debut year. Hybrid Theory was the best – selling album of2001. For best Hard Rock Performance for the song “Crawling” won a Germany Award and nominated for two other Grammy Awards for best new Artist and Best Rock Album. Hybrid Theory’s overall success had catapulted the band into mainstream success. Linkin Park received many invitations to perform on many high profile tours and concerts during this time. Linkin Park had performed at over 320 concerts within a year’s stretch.
In December 2002 Linkin Park officially announced the production of a new studio album. The name of new album is Meteora. Linkin Park's second album debuted on March 25, 2003 and instantly earned worldwide recognition going to No.1 in the US and UK, and No.2 in Australia.  This album sold more than 8000,000 copies during its first week. This album ranked as the best-selling album on the Billboard charts at the time.  Meteora sold nearly 3 million copies by October 2003. This album earned the band multiple awards and honors. 
Linkin Park won the MTV awards for Best Rock Video for “Somewhere I Belong” and the viewer choice  award for “Breaking the Habit”. Linkin Park also received significant recognition during the 2004 Radio Music Awards. This band was also winning the Artist of the year and Song of the year in the same year.
Linkin Park’s 3rd album was Minutes to Midnight and released in 2006 and its  fourth album’s name A Thousand  Suns.
