TINAPA SOON TO BE UNVEILED
The Cannan City of Calabar will play host to dignitries from all works of life at the opening of the much talked about Tinapa project. The four-day fiesta is to activate tourism potential of the state. A fashion carnival have been slated for two days, called the Calabar Fashion Week.
Tinapa is the initiative of the Governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke and will probably be the most beautiful place in Nigeria when it is finally unveiled. Stay tuned for details of this event.
CELTEL SETS UP VIEWING CENTRES FOR IDOL WA
Celtel Nigeria has established viewing centres across the country to offer more Nigerians the opportunity to watch the popular reality show, Idols WA. The viewing centres are in various cities, mostly University Campuses across the nation to host the viewing centres which will be equipped with Plasma TV's, DSTV Decoders, Satelite Dish and 6kva generator sets.
NIGERIAN, VICE-PRESIDENT OF WORLD BANK
Nigeria's Education Minister, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili was on Friday March 23rd introduced as the World Bank Vice-President for Africa at the bank's headquarters in Washington DC by Mr Paul Wolfowitz, it's Predsident. Mrs Ekwesili is taking over from Ghanian Gobind Nankani who retired last year.
SOUND SULTAN, VOICE FOR EFCC
Multi-talented, award winning vocalist, Sound Sultan is the voice behind the new EFCC TV and Radio Commercials running currently on Television and Radio. The over-a-minute Commercial had Sultan singing about corruption and how EFCC was coming onto them. I heard he got alot of money for that. The guy deserves it. He's such a hard-worker.
CHARLY BOY RELEASES HIS PRIVATE PART
The much talked about Charly Boy's Private Part was finally presented to the public last week in Abuja. Among the dignitries that attended were Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, Governor Abdulahi Adamu, Jimoh Ibrahim, Anyim Pius Anyim, Florence Ita Giwa, Justice Chukwudifo Oputa to mantion a few. He also used the opportunity to inaugurate his foundation, The Charly Boy Foundation.
KUDZAI JOINS STUDIO 53
Zimbabwe's own Kudzai Sevenzo has been named as the newest field presenter to join M-NET Lifestyle programme Studio 53. Kudzai, who was a contestant in Project Fame, will take on a new role introducing DSTV's African audiences to Zimbabwen music, art, culture and fashion. The 28yr singer/song writer, who also works as a travel contestant joins the likes of Uganda's Gaetano Kagwa, Kenya's Fareed Khimani and Nigeria's Kemi Adetiba.
NIGERIA VS UGANDA
Yesterday Saturday March 24th, Nigeria faced Uganda in a Nation's Cup qualifying match, played in Abeokuta stadium. The Super Eagles won 1-0.
After the match, the NFA Secretary General Chief Bolaji Ojo got into an arguement with a Ugandan officially right inside the football pitch. It took the intervention of the officiating referee to set the two men apart. It was disgraceful to watch
