Martin Luther King's Daughter Dies + African Artiste Of The Year

Yolanda King Dies
The first born-child of Rev Martin Luther King, Yolanda King has died. She collapsed and died yesterday May 15th 2007, after making a speech in Santa Monica, California. She was 51, born Nov. 17, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama. No cause of death has yet been given for her untimely and unexpected demise, but relatives think it might have been a heart problem.

Yolanda was an actress, author, producer, advocate for peace and nonviolence, who was known and loved for her motivational and inspirational contributions to society. Her death came less than a year and a half after her mother, Coretta Scott King, died in January 2006. May her soul rest in peace

D Banj Named African Artiste of the Year

The Ghana Music Awards which held last week, named Nigerian artiste, D Banj, African Artiste of the Year 2006. The Koko King was at the event to get his award and showed appreciation by performing to the excited crowd that couldn't seem to get enough of him. I totally agree that D' banj was last year's best artiste, but this year's best artiste is most definitely Tuface Idibia. If you haven't listened to his new album 'Grass to Grace', you need to go get yourself a copy. It's off da hook! Congrats to D' banj

Jay Z and his lady love Beyonce in a limo. I'm trying to understand their sitting position. Is B sitting away from J or is she just trying to avoid the paparazzi from taking her pix? What do you guys think?
